Joyous Tomorrows

As you know, I love doing Family History Research.  This spiritual thought is one I ascribe to because I feel that you can not find the true ancestors most of the time by simple deduction.  Almost every researcher will tell you there is a point at which the information comes to you in ways your would not be able to discern on your own. I am trying my hand at using digital scrapbooking.  I made this poster using a photograph of my own and a scripture from St James Version of the Bible.  The bow is my attempt at paint.  The program I used was paint.net.

At the risk of being called a radical, I must blog my feelings.  There have been times I wanted to stand on the street corner and yell "Read the UN 'Agenda 21' !  Then you will know the President and his agenda.  I t is not hidden.   There are those who have expressed their opinion on this subject . That is not where I came to my conclusions about Agenda 21. My sweetheart and I had studied about the US Constitution and the Communism in the early 1990's.  As time passed we heard 'screaming ' reviews about Agenda 21.  I had never been a fan of the UN, but even when I saw the "radical views of Agenda 21", I shrugged it off thinking we are not governed by the UN. Over the last 16 years, I have watched as everyone began to be uneasy as to actions taken by our government in domestic and foreign affairs.  The differing of opinions as to why we appeared to be losing more of our freedoms. We sometimes think that we can do things by ourselves and jump into plans that maybe a bit more than we planned.  The son has been buying equipment to fix and renew his cars and trailers.  Today, he invested in welding tanks. He started cutting the tongue off the trailer and before he could figure out what happened,  the valve on the oxygen tank failed. I think that is what happened, at any rate he had to quickly remove the tank out to the field because he could not get it to shut off.  His disappointment and loss was translated into anger.  A few slammed items, some expletives, and retreat into a closed room, has allowed his blow off valve some relief.  This cost him half his paycheck and a day of preparation.   To him, this is high cost.  I, personally, am thankful that it was in an open area; he was able to get the flame shut off, and that he did not incur any personal bodily harm.          Th...

Things have been rather hectic in my life with a co-worker being injured in a car accident and thus not apart of my work day. My days at work have been longer and not greatly pleasant. I had to go to a 1 hour away town to pick up some frozen fruit I had ordered. Don't think I will do that again, cost more in gas, but the drive today was worth it this time. The picture at the left is a typical picture of Texas at this time of the year. Grass has gotten out of hand because it was too hot to get outside and mow. There is a haze because there have been small rains putting out just enough moisture to cause condensation....HUMIDITY...in the air. This morning was nice, not too humid, sunny, temp about 78 degrees, and quiet. I rolled back the sun roof of my old car, let down the windows, put my hair up in a pony tail, turned on my music and turned left down the back roads to make my trip through areas that were much like my picture. When I get all my head phones on....one for the computer and one for the phone, I feel like those characters in Star Trek movies..."the Borg". I am having fun learning to navigate through different methods of communication devices online. I hope to become proficient in assisting people to get clear and helpful answers to their software challenges. Sometimes I feel like my computer has little devils in it blocking buttons and helps I need to complete tasks, then then next time everything goes beautifully without a hitch so I KNOW it had to be my challenge...not the computers. Oh well, I will become proficient in doing the navigation that is needful, maybe not the geek squad, rather the "Borg Squad"... Maybe I am just up again way past my bedtime. It's fun being old, you can do what you want to. LOL

Below is a letter I wrote to my US Senator John Cornyn. I should have re-read it better, as there are some grammatical errors. I feel I need to speak up and if there are those who have not seen or heard then maybe they will begin to see. As things are unfolding in our country , we must look at true principles taught to us by the Lord and our clerical leaders. The land should be used for the sustenance of the people using it. We should not let the evil designs of men those looking for power, financial gain, etc, at the expense of their fellowmen) go unchecked without speaking out about it and encouraging leaders of the country to think more of their country than their pocket book or power. I pray my voice will be heard and understood, in spite of my weakness with expressing what I know to be true. Hmmm say you, it is July. Yes, that it is, but it is also the celebration of my mother-in-law's 90th birthday. She is bright and beautiful and still active. She cracks me up. This is a picture of her walking into her Surprise Party. I quite enjoyed myself and there were so many people there to wish her well. All her living children, and a great many grandchildren, and a few great grandchildren. They all giggle at the great grandchildren number and said most of those came from Ned's family. And so they do. This is a logo from my Missionary Training. You will notice that there are clasped hands in the center of the sun. It is all about helping linking families together and finding joy in our ancestors and posterity. I love family history and I am excited I have started, hence New Year, my training to assist others in their endeavors. So you can see now what I mean by "This is the great beginnings of a New Year.!
