An Interesting Day of Work

Image
This is where I work. Today, I spent the day at a Grower's Summit sponsored by the TNLA. As I have said in an earlier post, I always respected the Hero for his ability, it has gone to new heights as I have been assisting at his office. I can't believe he remembered all that payroll, workforce, EPA, OSHA, etc. stuff. After the first hour of the Work Force Commission's talk, I thought my head was going to explode. Then we went into the environmental regulating discussions. Oh my, I am glad I am just a lowly data processor. The employer is going to have to take over all this. After 7 hours of driving today, I am ready for a rest. So this is short.

This is Worse Than a Journal

Hmmm... Since beginning of Feb. Life has been full. I have had the pleasure and priviledge of teaching two family history classes. The most fun was helping two members research their family. It was fun and exciting because we found interesting things out about them. I have gotten involved in writing on face book with my kids.. That has been fun. On a sad note, a wonderful friend and past bishop died this last week. Attending the funeral was a hard thing to do, but I was glad that I went. We have decided while we're around that we need to have a Magnolia reunion. That would be fun. Last night was hard. I had been preparing a talk for Sacrament on the family. I saw a book under the bed and retrieved it. It was the hero's journal, for the last 3 years. He had written so much in it. He had hidden a great deal of the pain from me. I see now why he would say whatever the Lord wants, I am ready to stay or go, but the pain is so much to live with. I was moved to sobs by his loving note...

Duty, Honor, Justice

Well, I stood and took my oath and suffered through 5 hours of long drawn out not so justicey court room stuff. It could have been done in 3 max hours. Long story short, I was #55 and 12 jurors were picked before they came even close to #55. This was the second time I was willing but just got missed. I told my granddaughter that she should never try and get out of jury duty, she might be the one that is needed for justice to be served correctly. Been there on a Federal Jury and done that. I am tired tonight so this is short.

Well, What is your opinion and it was all good

I like the background template I found for my blog. I have another I would like better but can't figure out how to get it on. See below "isn't it pretty?" How do you make it a whole background? I had a good day at church. I taught a family history class on searching in the United States. That was fun and there were some pretty neat ladies in there that we have shared oodles together. I love family history, in all phases. Most of my personal family fought for the North. The Hero's family on the other had was [tadadada(low note) da] The South. LOL Finding the information on both sides has been fun. One sister said she hated Texas records because there wasn't enough information...I said just be glad there was information. ; ) Just remember to share information with others gladly. It helps our family trees grow.
