Flowers and the Toddlers

We started out our week ridding our garden of fire ants, then we decided to go hunting for wild flowers.  Weeds such as Flea bane qualified.

The granddaughter wasn't sure what to do when told to smell the flower.

We found some wild onions (which I know are really in the garlic family) and woodland violets.
I love these.

After our search the grandson watered our vertical garden of mints.

Oops some have escaped.  Wonder what mowing it will be like.

Aren't they fabulous to watch when they are so full of wonder and excitement!
Isn't it wonderful to share a garden with toddlers? My 3-yr-old grandson loves Grandma's garden and wants to plant some vegetables, which I haven't done for years. So we'll learn together. Meanwhile he can't wait for the lilies of the valley, which haven't begun to emerge here in Minnesota.

God never ceases to amaze me with how He beautifies His earth with what we call weeds and you captured some of them really well.

Dear Francis,

Thank You for entering the Beso Hunter Boot contest. I hope you are given the opportunity to own a pair of these fabulous violet boots to remind you of the purple flowers during the gloomy and rainy days as you walk to the store.

Thank You and Good Luck!

Smell them all a little longer for me... not that I could ever smell them, but I miss collecting and looking and watching the fairies dance around them. Magical and two little nimphs to share it with too.
I look forward to this spring. So far all that's blooming is the dandilions (we had some salad the other night... yum!) and Little T goes out everyday and picks a few and loves on them till their a mess of mushy pettals.
Flowers are the expresion of the feelings Heavenly Mother had when each child(differnt and amazing) gave her hugs and kisses.
Here's one for my wonderful amazing earthly mother.
MAWAH! HUGS*
