I Am Moving Along. That is Should Be.

Curves internet page.
My second son has been after me for sometime to get my health in order.  I told you that I joined Curves.  I really have enjoyed going to exercise early in the morning and love the people I have met there as well as my "adopted" daughter goes with me and we have fun too.  No, I am not advertising for Curves, just thought that those in far away places might like to know what it is. (click on the title under the picture to view their web page.)
There have been set backs such as a sciatica problem that sent me to the chiropractor to have my back adjusted.  It helped until I moved the wrong way again. Sometimes I just wonder if I am meant to get this weight off.  On the other hand, I know that it is the right thing to do.  So, as soon as I am walking in an upright manner again, ( my daughter called me the Hunchback of Notre Dame.  I have to admit that almost walking on all fours to get around did present a funny looking picture.  No, she did not take a picture of me. ; )  )  I will be going back to move along in this journey.  I remind myself 'shoulder's back, chin up, face the challenge to ta ta".
Borrowing a stanza from Gloria Gaynor's song "I Will Survive" says it all.
"Did I crumble
Did I lay down and die
Oh no, not I! I will survive!
Oh and as long as I know how to love I know I stay alive.
I've got all my life to live, I've got all my love to give.
And I'll survive!
I will survive! Hey, hey."

And with that I will close for the night.

Ah, my friend Chitra, I was just telling my son-in-law about your suggestion for breathing exercises to help lower Blood Pressure. I appreciate your visits. Thank you.
Too bad about the setbacks, but it's great that you are doing the Curves thing...you will be stronger and healthier! I need to get moving myself!

Frances,
Breathing exercises are the first thing I do as soon as I wake up, at that time we are fresh, stomach is empty and atmosphere is calm. try it, You will definitely feel good. I spend only 5-10 minutes for this. That's all.

I love that song. It brings back memories from a long time ago. A song of courage.

I joined Curves a few years ago and had lots of fun. Then I injured my arm and never went back. It was the repetitive motion of those machines, combined with things I was doing in the house at that time.

Hope it works for you.
Hugs
